Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, and using PileStack (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not use the App.
These Terms apply to all users of PileStack, including free and premium subscribers. By using the App, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to comply with these Terms.
2. License & Restrictions
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use PileStack on your personal devices, subject to these Terms.
You agree NOT to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of the App
- Copy, modify, adapt, translate, or create derivative works of the App
- Sell, resell, rent, lease, lend, or redistribute the App
- Use the App for any commercial purpose without written permission
- Remove, alter, or obscure any proprietary notices or labels
- Use the App in violation of any laws or regulations
3. User Content Ownership
You own your content. All content you save to PileStack — including links, screenshots, notes, and collections — is your intellectual property. We do not claim ownership of your content.
By using PileStack, you grant us the right to:
- Store your content on your device and (if enabled) on iCloud
- Process and organize your content within the App
- Enable you to sync, search, export, and manage your content
You are solely responsible for the legality of the content you save. Do not save content that infringes on others' rights or violates laws.
4. Subscription Terms
PileStack offers optional premium subscriptions to unlock additional features. Here are our subscription plans:
- Monthly Plan: $2.99 USD per month
- Yearly Plan: $17.99 USD per year
How Subscriptions Work
- Subscriptions are billed automatically through the App Store
- Your subscription will auto-renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period (you keep access until then)
- You can manage or cancel your subscription in iOS Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions → PileStack
Billing
- Apple processes all payments. We never access your payment information
- You authorize Apple to charge your account for your subscription
- If a payment fails, your subscription may be suspended
- You are responsible for keeping your Apple ID and payment method current
Refunds & Chargebacks
Refunds are processed through the App Store according to Apple's policies. For refund requests, contact Apple App Store Support directly. We cannot process refunds outside of the App Store system.
6. Free Trial Terms
Both monthly and yearly plans include a 1-week free trial. Here's how it works:
- Your free trial begins when you sign up
- You receive full access to all premium features during the trial
- You will NOT be charged during the trial period
- Your subscription will auto-renew at the end of the trial unless canceled
- You can cancel anytime before the trial ends to avoid charges
Canceling Your Trial
To cancel before being charged, go to iOS Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions → PileStack and select "Cancel Subscription."
7. Acceptable Use
You agree to use PileStack responsibly and lawfully. You agree NOT to:
- Save, store, or share illegal content (child exploitation, piracy, malware, etc.)
- Use the App to harass, threaten, defame, or harm other individuals or organizations
- Bypass, disable, or interfere with security features or safeguards
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App or its systems
- Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to interact with the App without authorization
- Spam or send unsolicited content through the App's features
- Violate any applicable laws, regulations, or third-party rights
Violation of these terms may result in account suspension or termination, and we may report violations to appropriate authorities.
8. Disclaimers
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including:
- Warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement
- Warranties that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or secure
- Warranties that data will be preserved, backed up, or recoverable
We do not guarantee:
- Uninterrupted or error-free service
- Compatibility with all devices, iOS versions, or third-party apps
- Preservation of your data if the App crashes or is deleted
- That iCloud Sync will work in all regions or network conditions
Your use of the App is at your own risk. It is your responsibility to maintain backups of important data.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for:
- Data loss, corruption, or deletion (accidental or otherwise)
- Service interruptions, outages, or downtime
- Lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, or lost opportunities
- Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
- Damages arising from unauthorized access to your account
- Damages from third-party services (Apple, iCloud, RevenueCat, etc.)
Cap on Liability
Our total liability to you for any claims arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall not exceed the total amount you paid for the App in the past 12 months (or $0 if you used only the free version).
10. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account if:
- You violate these Terms of Service
- You engage in illegal activity
- You harass, threaten, or harm other users
- You attempt to compromise the security of the App
- You violate applicable laws or regulations
Termination may be immediate and without notice for serious violations. Upon termination, you lose access to your account and all associated data (though your local data remains on your device).
You can terminate your account anytime by:
- Deleting the App from your device
- Canceling your subscription in Settings
- Contacting us at temur@pilestack.app for account deletion
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through:
- An in-app notification
- A prominent banner on our website
- Email notification (if we have your contact information)
Your continued use of PileStack after any changes means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree with the new Terms, you must stop using the App and cancel your subscription.
